Cressroads’ Holiday Inn signals better late than never atop Morn Hill
Re. CROSSED WIRES ON TELEGRAPH WAY cont. from 13/03/09
After pedantic Blogsbody’s blue eyes for detail report that the opening of a 141-bedroom Holiday Inn on Cressroads’ Morn Hill is delayed by a further two months, a misleading promotional banner on the Telegraph Way approach road changes the completion date from October to December 2009.
“But not bad for a next week’s work,” a relieved hardhat seeks to herald an overdue bout of on-site cheers.
“We’re really getting going.
“Thanks to good weather and good planning, the framework of twenty-two hotel rooms on the ground floor is built over the last two weeks.
“So far this week, eleven more rooms on the first floor find us up to roof level.
“We’ve nearly finished construction of the ground floor slab on the north wing, where another huge concrete pour is planned for tomorrow
“We’ve laid the tarmac base to the remainder of the car park, and finally buried the the foul treatment plant.”
Morn Hill’s not-to-be-at-all-complacent hardhat for an anonymous spokesperson adds: “Wet trades are at work constructing the block walls that lay out the basement accommodation, and all of the internal stairs are craned into position.”
Ding-a-ling-ling: Winchester Holiday Inn’s 01934-839-012 number continues to ring out in Weston-super-Mare, where it is answered at Cadbury House Hotel Health Club and Spa.
Blogsbody understands the two are united in corporate matrimony, and Winchester’s Mr Big enjoys its comforts of home while in wait for the builders to complete his Morn Hill suite of offices and rooms.
