Blogsbody’s Cressroads reveals itself microcosm of nation

March 20th, 2009

Good early morning, Bronnie!

BronnieReceived more of your texts and, in the event your short-term memory box doesn’t recall, they read:

Five texts in all.  Beginning at 08:10 on Market Day in Cressroads, then respectively continuing to bell Blogsbody’s mobile at 08:14; 08:30; 15:24; and, finally,15:40.

Assuming, Bronnie, your last couple of texts refer to Bloggy’s four weeks and several thousands of words of blogging through until the keywords Blogsbody and Cressroads each climb atop their respective Google mountains.

Blogsbody hasn’t thought to talk to Keith Beachyhead, but would welcome the opportunity. Have you a contact number?

Spring CrociT’would be way out of order for Blogsbody, to suggest to your son Daron as well as ex-monk-Alan turned your Farnham financial adviser that either of them are ‘too good’ for the former Ma Griffiths, alias Miss Welsh Williams - and, of course, he hasn’t.

Have a good First Day of Spring,
Mike

SEXUALLY ABUSED FROM COT TO TEENS  - Known to many a Cressroadian, moved to Eastbourne to defy attempts to put her out of her seaside bungalow and home, Widow Bronwen is the 312th to sign with sympathy and understanding a Justice4Kate petition.

‘Rest In Peace, Kate. No one can hurt anymore.

‘In January 2007, I learned that I was misdiagnosed as mental 40 years ago. All because I was sexually abused from my cot to my teens. At times a dog was better treated,’ signs Bronwen

After her years of suffering from borderline personality disorder (BPD), Kate Logan, 27, of Gower Walk, Gateshead, took her life, and her family are left to feel mental health professionals failed to do enough to prevent their daughter taking a fatal overdose.

In an e-mail to friends Kate said she hoped by killing herself she could draw attention to issues faced by people with mental health problems.

“Kate knew she would die, and I knew in my heart that she wasn’t going to make it. I think the people dealing with Kate looked upon her as an attention-seeker,” her mother Rosemary, 59, complains authorities let down her daughter.

Agonizingly depressed, after moving from Newcastle to Gateshead, Kate spent three years in and out of the town’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Taking overdose after overdose.

Sedated before she was discharged to return home alone.

But Kate becoming something of an expert on BPD. Helping set up the website www.safeplaceforum.co.uk to give advice to others. And a site renamed Kate’s Place since her death.

Her mother believes: “The most help, care and understanding our daughter received was through friends she made on the Internet.”

Among them, one in America and who was to receive Kate’s chilling message: ‘Main issue I have with mental health team is they don’t believe me when I’m in distress and asking for help. I hope to highlight problem in my death.’

Borderline personality disorder affects around 2% of the population. Three-quarters of sufferers are women. And Kate was one of the one-in-10 who commit suicide.

Meanwhile, back in the watercress capital of the world, little sympathy and understanding extends to a mother and her teenage daughter: “Raped,” explains her mum. “And a daughter for a schoolgirl sadly grown to know all of the desires of a woman twice her age.

“Personality disorder! Tell me about it,” adds her mum.
